Based in Cape Town, we are a residential architectural company that is dedicated to making it easier for clients to navigate the journey of building new, adding on or making changes to their homes. Stemming from the desire to extend a greater helping hand, we aim to offer clear direction so that homeowners can ensure their home is compliant and in order (before it becomes a problem). We provide a clear process overview with step-by-step guidance through each stage ensuring that clients have access to a thorough understanding of what they need to make sure that all the i’s are dotted, and the t’s are crossed when it comes to their property.

What we do
We help you achieve the vision for your building, assisting you through the different stages. Below are the services we offer. Depending on your project, we can assist you through all or part of the below stages to get your project to where it needs to be.
Consultations offer the first step to understanding what you want to do on your property and the project needs. We meet with you to discuss your ideas and offer preliminary feedback on the expected steps and timelines. Following our meeting, we provide a report that details the what to expect. Consultations offer you an overview of the process to reduce surprises during the course of our collaboration.
During this stage, we look at offering you solutions for your property wants and needs. We look at different versions of what you want that explore different aspects such as comfort, seamless connection, investment value and affordability. Conceptual design allows you to review your options before getting stuck in the specifics.
Pushing forward with a chosen design option and focusing on more detail, we progress to detail design. We refine the practicality, the design vision and specifics while ensuring regulatory requirements are met.
We take you through the approval process for the different applications your project may trigger.
Homeowners Associations
If your property falls under a homeowner’s association, we assist in navigating the approval process; inclusive of the initial design considerations, design guidelines and aesthetics for the estate and we that develop accordingly. At the time of submission, we demonstrate compliance, facilitate the application process and handle correspondence on your behalf.
Building Plan Submission
To obtain approval for the building work, we submit the application on your behalf to the local authority. We follow up throughout the process addressing all comments and handling the correspondence. We provide regular updates that enable you to understand where in the process we are and what to expect next.
Land Use Management Submissions
Sometimes work is proposed that triggers what is called a land use management application. This is an application that often has to do with the zoning of the property and the restrictions on the property because of the zoning classification. Helpfully put, this application does not relate to building safety and compliance, but rather to the relationship of your property has to surrounding properties and the estate or neighbourhood in which you are. Depending on the brief for your project, it may trigger this application type. We ensure to make you aware early on in the process, so you know what to expect.
